Paranormal contact focus of 2010 Symposium and Film Festival

Thirteen outstanding speakers will explore various aspects of paranormal contact at the 2010 Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival in Angel Fire, NM beginning September 9 and continuing through September 12.

The best of the best will speak at the event, including recent additions Stanton Friedman (pictured at right) and Travis Walton.

Friedman is a nuclear physicist whose research in UFO studies has set the bar in the field of UFOlogy for more than 40 years, and Walton’s Arizona abduction experience, which became the major motion picture “Fire in the Sky” is one of the most credible on record. Friedman’s featured presentation will precede the Keynote Speaker address by John Greenewald.

John Greenewald is the creator of The Black Vault, one of the largest technological achievements on the Internet, with hundreds of thousands of government documents, news articles, photographs, and videos which reference UFOs and other paranormal phenomena. He is the Keynote Speaker at this year’s event.

Also at the podium exploring extraterrestrial contact: Derrel Sims, Michael Horn, and Dee Gragg.

Sims credits his fully-conscious recall of numerous abduction events since childhood with providing his initial clues into the nature of the phenomenon.

Michael Horn is the American media representative for the Billy Meier UFO contacts and has documented the Billy Meier story since 1979.

Dee Gragg has researched and written a book detailing the ET agenda and ET sexuality, recording a plethora of information while interviewing numerous abductees.

Psychic aspects of paranormal contact will be explored by Marisa Ryan, Terra-Raye and the Blooming Bush Women, and Nancy De Young.

Marisa Ryan is a clairvoyant, clairaudient, and clairsentient who has become a popular interviewee on radio stations discussing paranormal topics. She is respected throughout the country for her work with law enforcement agencies as a pyschic detective.

The Blooming Bush Women are known for their psychic contact with the transformative, gentle and loving powers of the Divine Angelic Realm, bringing harmony, love and peace through all that they do.

Nancy De Young is considered a pioneer in combining the modernized techniques of soul retrieval and spirit releasement.

Contact with ghosts, Bigfoot, native spirits and other paranormal entities will be discussed by Antonio Garcez, Robert (Java Bob) Schmaltzbach, Paul Davids, and Chris O’Brien.

Antonio Garcez is the grandson of a Mescalero Apache and an Otomi Indian. His rich cultural background provides Garcez with a traditional knowledge about spirits, folk healers, witches, and other forces considered to be paranormal in origin.

Robert (Java Bob) Schmalzbach has a phenomenal history of contact in the wild with Bigfoot and other cryptozoological creatures. His photographs and videos leave little to the imagination.

Award-winning filmmaker Paul Davids will present a program about the paranormal and psychic beliefs of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and how many of Doyle’s convictions have been validated by his own personal experiences.

Chris O’Brien has spent nearly 20 years investigating cattle mutilations and other paranormal anomalies in the mysterious San Luis Valley in Colorado and in New Mexico.

Trading in his well-known speaker hat this year, Dennis Balthaser will instead serve as Symposium Master of Ceremonies.

Among the many talented paranormal practitioners and vendors appearing at the event is Dr. Rita Louise, a Naturopathic Physician with particular gifts as a medical intuitive and clairvoyant. She is founder of the Institute of Applied Genetics, host of Just Energy Radio and author of several books.

Dr. Thomas Nolan III holds a Ph.D. in Ecological Psychology, and has developed a process which teaches patients to balance inner and outer world realities.

Voted most popular practitioner at the 2009 Symposium, Naomi Hoshino Horii is a psychic, healer and spiritual communicator who works with the divine healing power, angels, and healing guides.

Michele Rozbitsky is a psychic, psychotherapist, writer, shamanic practitioner and ceremonialist who has been practicing alternative methods of healing for 20 years.

Sandra Wasko-Flood makes spiritual connections by creating labyrinths. She will build two labyrinths at the Symposium, encouraging visitors to experience their spiritual and healing powers.

Michele Many is Chippewa from Turtle Mountain Clan who returns to the 2010 Symposium as a practitioner and vendor. A psychic, hypnotherapist, acutonic sound healer, Native American healer and author, Many also offers an eclectic selection of merchandise.

Jerry Pippin will broadcast live interviews with Symposium speakers, filmmakers, practitioners, celebrity guests and local visitors from the hotel. In addition, visitors can win a private breakfast with their favorite speaker, and an Angel Fire Resort ski vacation.

The Angel Fire Resort hotel is headquarters for the 2010 event, which will also include a paranormal-themed art show presented by the Moreno Valley Arts Council, and cultural performances throughout the Resort complex. Registration packets include dining and shopping coupons, maps, and other information about Angel Fire. Tickets to Film Festival screenings, awards ceremony, cocktail party, and daily events will be available at the door. Prices are posted on the ASPE website.

The Sir Arthur Film Festival honoring the best films with paranormal themes will launch at the 2010 Symposium with an initial screening of entry finalists, followed by a Hollywood-style cocktail party at Laguna Vista Lodge and Saloon. No doubt ghosts who often haunt the Laguna Vista will join filmmakers and guests before they leave for an evening screening session. People’s Choice votes will decide the winners, and the best films will receive Sir Arthur awards at a Saturday evening ceremony.

Film Festival entry information and forms, and vendor application forms are also available on the ASPE website. Films with paranormal themes may be entered in any of five categories, with winners selected by audience votes. Film Festival entry deadline is August 1. Vendor applications must be received by September 1.

The Symposium is presented by Alliance Studying Paranormal Experiences (ASPE), a non-profit organization founded by folks committed to examining paranormal experiences and sharing them with others of similar interests and open minds. The Paranormal Symposium and Film Festival is presented by ASPE each September, providing registrants with opportunities to learn from people who dedicate themselves to investigating unexplained phenomena.
